Not sure if this counts but I finished a few mine tunnels in the mine section of the layout. Thought I would post them here as well. Thanks

It’s 1986, and here’s the Aberdeen, Carolina & Western Ry. in its infancy. Ex-C&O GP9 No. 6182 is coming down the hill into Aberdeen with a small cut of cars, as the new road is actively seeking new customers.

I have not done a lot of lighting on my layout up to this point but as things come together in Carlin I see opportunities to do so. I recently added a couple of terminal strips to the DC bus under the Carlin section for the purpose of powering lighting or other accessories. The first to be connected was the light at the loading area of the propane dealer. This shot was taken with the layout lights off but with the room lighting still on.

Here is a similar shot but this time with both the layout and room lights turned off. In the pre-dawn hours, the first delivery truck of the day is being filled before starting it's route. In the background, an eastbound Southern Pacific freight has stopped for a crew change and to take on fuel. It's fun to play around with night scenes.
