How do you make plastic look like wood?

    Well, I tried a little light colored grey wash in some areas to see if it would lighten it up a bit. Not sue if it did much. Thought I would post a pic. Let me know what you think. Still no weathering supplies yet so I will wait to do anything else to these. I did prime 4 more cars today. This time I tried white primer, to what it would do. We shall see. Thanks!       I did a similar process to finish these “wooden” freight doors: I hand-painted the individual boards with different colors of tan and gray craft paints and followed up with applications of brown and black washes.

        Thanks! Oh, and I forgot to mention that I probably started with a spray coat of gray primer.

        Thanks! Other than the base coat of red spray paint for the bricks and lightweight spackling for the mortar, all of the varying brickwork colors are . . . yep, you guessed it . . . shades of red, terra cotta, sienna, and orange craft paints, applied with sponges and a toothpick!
