    Derailment Wednesday

I was a little puzzled this morning by all the flurry of BNSF vehicles outside my office in downtown Fort Worth. But then, DUH, it suddenly made sense.

Looks like these two bad boys are going to try to lift this one flatcar and place it back on the track.

I’m heading home so last photo to share. Looks like they just have this final flat car to unload and everything goes back to normal. I found that witnessing this in real time to be very informative and extremely entertaining. With that being said, I am not sure just how much work I actually got done today.

Hopefully, I didn’t bog down the forum or bore people too much.

The view from the next day. That is quite the memorial of piled up ties.

Of course, what I’d love to know is did the track cause the derailment or did the track just get destroyed during cleanup and therefore needed replacement?

Probably the track structure was damaged as a result of the derailment.
