Virginia Transportation Museum, Roanoke VA visit

Had a chance to visit the Virginia Transportation Museum in Roanoke. Neat place. They have a building full of interesting displays, but to me the best part is out back.

I couldn't get a good angle for a picture of the 1218 without supports in the way, but it's impressively big when walking the length of it.

They also had a large room full of old cars (early 20th century through '70s muscle cars) and an aviation display in addition to the train stuff. All in all, well worth a visit.

Class A 1218, Class J 611 and N&W high hoods! So there is a heaven on earth after all!

      Thanks for pics, Cody.
