I am doing this all backwards…

so usually I build my benchwork, backdrop, track then scenery.
This build has devolved a bit from that. I started with the track, added some scenery, then added a switch machine, then decided to add structures, now I decided to add some benchwork and a backdrop…
Advantage of working on such a small layout is you can do crazy things like this!

Absolutely right, Greg. Plenty of "room to manuever" in and around the more traditional build sequence with a micro.

Wow! Excellent modeling, Greg. Has that air of authenticity about it. And I echo what Allen says about the fall colors. Nicely done!

That looks real nice Greg. Those fall foliage colors are not bright and gaudy. 👍

        Rule #1 of model railroading.
It's probably responsible for the greatest number of shoddy layouts because no one feels compelled to improve themselves. Meh, good enough...

          Allen,
Thanks so much! I really enjoy modeling fall and like the bright colors, but making them look as realistic as possible.

I've seen many fall layouts with bright colors, your's are nice and muted, just like dave1905's, look so much more believable.
I also like the way you've add fallen leaves to the scene.

Allen's right. The leaves on the ground make you feel like you're right there in the scene. Your trees are fantastic BTW.

Pretty darn good too, in my book!
