    October 2024 Modular Set Up

A friend and I make a goal to set up our modules at his place in the fall. His wife takes the space over for holiday decor and functions so we have until the end of October.
His circular layout is based on the Heart of Georgia(HOG) idea. It represents parts of the port of Los Angeles and Long Beach. He built four lambchop shaped modules and added a fifth to connect with his freemoN intermodal yard. He also created another interface so I could add my freemoN modules which included a freight yard. When all this is set up it becomes a bit intrusive on the house and we have a long walk from my modules around the kitchen area to get into his layout. Operationally this is large and fun with yards.
We decided to not pull out the intermodal yard and I dismantled my 12' yard which left us with my three industry switching modules, some mainline, and his layout. operations is very different, but we can still just watch a train run from time to time and do a bunch of switching.

More to come as I need to add some interest like autos and such.
